Two years of hard work and perseverance later, Time Goes On makes its way to your ears…

I’d like to take this time to share what’s been going on during my long hiatus. Two years ago I began studying the ins and outs of audio engineering- all the things that happen in the background to make professionally-sounding music what it is today. 

In these past two years I’ve met many great people who have helped me enrich my learning and develop into the person I am today. I would be nowhere near where I am today without you guys and cannot thank you enough (you know who you are). 

With that being said, all things require sacrifices. I have had to shift my focus more away from writing music and towards learning and developing my skills as an engineer. However, one of the great advantages of being an artist and an engineer is being able to learn and fine tune your skills on your own songs, which brings us to where we are today. 

Time Goes On is the first song that I have written, recorded, mixed and mastered independently. Being naive I wasn’t expecting it to take as long as it did, around 8 months to be exact. But when you’re learning things you have to fall back and make mistakes to build back stronger.

I have so much planned for you guys in the future. In this moment I am continuing to practice and utilize my engineering skills to bring other people’s songs to life. When I am more comfortable with my skills the next chapter of Jake Anthony begins. And believe me, the album is like nothing you’ve heard before.

My vision is complete, for now…

10 months of hard work, 13 tracks to show my worth. A single man with a dream and a passion can go a long way… 

I want to personally thank everyone involved in the process, helping me grow and learn as I’ve gone along through the years into the person I am now. I’d also like to thank those who have believed in me in any way, shape or form. Without your kind words and inspiration this would have never been possible, let alone a reality. 

But most importantly I have to thank YOU. You’ve given this dream the courage and strength to grow- this never would have become what it is now without you, never forget that. 

As I continue my journey I hope to have you here with me each step of the way- I don’t know where I am going, but I’ll always be sure to give it my all. Much love to every single one of you, you’ve helped a young man chase his dreams in the pursuit of reality.

And just like that it all begins…

With a proud heart I humbly welcome my first single into the world. 

Where do I even begin- when I started my journey as an independent artist I didn’t really know where it was heading, but alas here we are. Since October of last year I’ve been pouring my heart and soul into music, allowing myself to fall in love with the process and develop a strong sense of passion and connection to my work. 

I extend great gratitude to my mentors and wonderful people that I have met along the way, for giving me the strength and courage to go after my dreams.

If there’s anything I can hope you will take away from all of this, let “Yesterday I Crashed My Car” assure one thing- this is only the beginning of the ride I’m going to take you on this Summer…

Looks like everything's running smoothly- welcome to the website! Yours truly typing away at the moment, what do you think of it all? Definitely pretty happy with how it's coming out, gonna be adding a lot more as time does its thing (always does). 

Been pretty quiet these past few months, I must say it's been a long and winding road (Beatles cliché hehe) from day 1. Taking on a solo career definitely has a lot more in store than on the surface, anything and everything is in your hands- which leads to lots and lots and LOTS of pressure.

The past 8 months (no way its been that long already) have been a journey of self-realization, discipline, and dedication that have humbled me and helped me better understand the industry I am getting myself into as well as what it takes on my end to make things happen. 

I don't want to give away any details just yet (wouldn't wanna spoil the fun now would we?) - but expect a lot from me in the next few months. This is gonna be fun and you guys are in for a real treat!
